Safety Action Plan

Department: Housekeeping

To ensure safety in the resort and follow the instruction  of GM
We have action plans to implement in the Department as follows
1/ keys control:
-All guest villa keys must be strictly controlled at all times.
-          It is the responsibility of the EHK & Supervisors to ensure all keys issued are signed
-          Every key handed out must be signed out and in the Key Register to ensure that the Keys Register has been completed, stating the name, time signed out, and time returned along with the signature.
-          All returned keys will be put in the key cabinets.
-          The Key cabinets must be blocked any time and checked at the end of the evening and any discrepancies must be investigated and/or reported to Security. Key Register to be used as reference.

2/ Loss of a key:
-          Any key losses are to be reported to the Security Team immediately
-          If the key cannot be relocated the Security Manager is to decide to be exchanged. If the cylinders are to be exchanged, the Chief Engineer will recall all keys for that lock and reissue new key
-          Any alteration to lock cylinder locations will be recorded in the key control log

3/ Enter a Guest room.
-All HK hosts will be aware of and familiar with the proper procedure for entering a guest villa.
-To ensure 2 room attendants entering the guest villa at the same time(day time serviced)
- Check around situation and must be called immediately to security if guest leave valuable items outside the safety box( If without guest)
-Ensure all valuable items must be record by Security host
-Never leave any guest villa open and unattended.
-The guest villa door should be closed while the room is being cleaned or serviced
-Ensure the door is locked upon departure.
- 
4/ Villa loss

-All claims of guest villa loss HK host must be reported immediately to EHK and Management
-Security Dept have to report completed.
-Management will determine action to be taken. Police may be called if necessary.
-Management shall conduct a thorough investigation of each guest villa loss.  Appropriate action shall be taken to ensure against similar future occurrences.
-No statement of fault will be issued to guest.
5/ HK Hosts extraordinary checked
-The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for checking of HK host lockers or personal properties. Any irregular or discrepancy is to be reported to the Manager immediately, verbally, and followed up in writing.  The employee responsible for the case is to be called back to Housekeeping and a written communication should be issued.

Procedure

1.         Check the do not disturb. If eyes open proceed.

2.         Knock firmly on door and say "Housekeeping".  Do not knock on guest room door with keys or other hard objects.  Use your hand.

3.         Pause and listen for a response. Approximately 15 seconds

4.         If no response knock again and wait a further 15 seconds, announce yourself upon entering.

5.         Never leave any guest villa open and unattended.

6.         When entered ensure door is closed behind you.

7.         The guest villa door should be closed while the room is being cleaned or serviced

8.         Ensure the door is locked upon departure.




will be reported immediately to management and a security report completed.

          

Employees must be issued a "Gate Pass" to remove articles from the resort.


Procedure

1.         The pass should contain the date, employee's name, parcel contents and the signature of employee's department head.

2.    Employees found removing property from the hotel without securing proper authorisation will be subject to disciplinary action.
